As I gradually reintroduced color I experimented with several techniques. Sometimes I started with local color and employed the same subtractive, wipe out method. "Pumpkin" (the bottom center thumbnail) was done in this technique. I also started glazing color in layers over a monochromatic painting as in "Helicopter Seed Pod" (the right middle thumbnail).
